Czech Startup KompreFit

Czech startup KompreFit, leveraging know how from the United States, approached us with a request to redesign their e shop into a presentation focused website. Here is a look at how the project came together.

Unhealthy Website

KompreFit delivers custom built recovery systems for sports clubs, designed using proven know how from the United States and composed of several complementary recovery products.

These systems help entire teams recover more effectively and perform better over the long term. They are used by clubs such as FC Slavia Praha, HC Verva Litvínov, as well as sports teams abroad.

The original website functioned as an e shop built on the Shopify platform and was primarily aimed at individual athletes. Over time, however, the startup shifted its focus toward sports clubs and began offering pre configured recovery packages tailored to team needs.

At that point, Shopify as an e shop platform no longer made sense. Sales were happening mainly through personal communication rather than online purchases, and the platform itself proved limiting in terms of design flexibility and optimization.

Eventually, the platform stopped making sense altogether when KompreFit decided to offer fully individual, made to measure recovery systems for clubs. This created a clear need for presentation focused pages aimed specifically at club management and decision makers.

We therefore had to create a completely new website identity and structure the content to speak to an entirely different target audience than individual players.

It was essential to clearly present what the KompreFit recovery system is, what it consists of, and the key features of each product.

After an initial consultation, we got to work.

The goals were to:

Shift the communication toward sports clubs

Establish a distinct and recognizable identity for the startup

Build a website that is easy to scale in the future

Healing the Hero

From a functional perspective, to an extent, the original hero section did what it was supposed to do. It reasonably explained what the startup does, communicated the main benefit, included a visible CTA button, and covered the basics.

Visually, however, it felt like just another generic Shopify sales page. It lacked personality and a distinct character.

We decided to make green the primary color of KompreFit, as it naturally represents health, recovery, and vitality.

During the initial consultation, we also learned that the startup prefers darker tones, reflecting the look and feel of their products.

Based on this, we designed a new hero section that builds trust at first glance, clearly explains what KompreFit does, speaks directly to sports clubs, and naturally guides visitors toward booking a call.

Old Hero Section

Generic design

Fragmented copywriting

Weak social proof

New Hero Section

Memorable visual identity

Clear and focused message

Multiple elements that build trust

Regenerating the Rest of the Website

After completing the homepage, we moved on to the rest of the website. We created a unique section explaining how clubs can get the system, added a contact form with anti-spam protection, and introduced the founder’s story along with the idea behind KompreFit.

From there, we shifted our focus to the products themselves.

The original product list within the system had a generic look and allowed individual products to be purchased separately, even though the website primarily communicated bundled solutions for sports clubs.

The new more approachable product overview that provides a clear and quick summary of each technology within the system, along with the option to click through to a dedicated detail page.

We then designed individual product detail pages where visitors, most often club managers or physiotherapists, can explore each technology in depth, understand the benefits it brings to the club, see when it is the right fit, and browse additional product imagery.

The previous version of the product detail page presented information in a rather chaotic way, making it difficult for visitors to clearly understand what the product is for, how it works, and what benefits it delivers.

The new product page clearly explains what the technology does, when it is suitable to use, the benefits it brings, and how it looks in real world use.

We designed the content management system so that new products can be added at any time, existing ones can be easily updated, or removed from the system altogether. This gives the startup full control to make changes whenever needed, without having to contact us for every small adjustment or wait for implementation. We understand that speed is critical in business.

That said, the startup can always reach out to us for adding new sections, new pages, or larger scale improvements.

Revitalized Website

We also translated the website into English, finalized the last details, and confirmed the final version with the client.

The website was then optimized for performance, launched together with the client within 10 minutes, and handed over to the KompreFit team along with clear guidelines for independently editing text, products, and images.

The new website now:

Speaks directly to club managers

Has a distinctive and memorable identity

Is easy to scale as the business grows
