Czech Holding Kinguard

A Czech holding company with businesses in real estate and technology asked us to design a new website to replace their previous one. Here is how the project came together.

A Website Full of Nothing

At first glance, the original Kinguard website appeared fairly clean.

The problem, however, was that it was too clean, leaving visitors with little to no information.

From the hero section, it wasn’t clear what the holding actually does.

It was filled with empty phrases that didn’t provide users with anything truly useful, along with visual elements that weren’t closely related to the holding’s activities or its companies.

At the same time, the website had no clear purpose. It simply existed for the sake of existing.

Overall, the website was abstract and, aside from a few generic details, didn’t tell users anything meaningful.

We were essentially starting with a blank canvas. And that’s not a problem for us.

During the initial meeting, we discussed the client’s vision and aligned on the overall style the website would follow.

The client provided the necessary materials, and we got to work.

The goals were to:

Clearly explain what the holding does

Provide visitors with useful information

Give the website a clear purpose

Homepage

The homepage, also known as the hero section - the first thing visitors see when they arrive on the website.

This section helps visitors clearly understand what website they’re on and what it’s for.

That’s why we created a clear hero section that explains this is a holding of Czech companies in a specific segment.

We defined the website’s purpose as guiding users toward the services of the companies the holding represents.

We therefore created a prominent CTA button that guides users to the sections featuring the holding’s subsidiary companies.

We kept Kinguard’s primary blue color but expanded the color palette with additional shades to add more visual depth to the website.

Old Hero Section

Generic, meaningless text

Weak CTA button

No trust elements

New Hero Section

Text explaining what the holding does

Immediately visible CTA button

Number of satisfied customers

Vision-Driven Content

Aside from the hero section, contact details, a few lines about each division and the holding, and an empty projects section, there was essentially nothing else on the website.

While the website looked fine visually, it also needed to be informative and intuitive to navigate.

It was necessary to give visitors a clearer understanding of both Kinguard itself and the companies it encompasses.

That’s why we rebuilt each section from the ground up.

The pillars representing the companies, referred to here as divisions, didn’t feel like intuitive buttons to visitors, and each only contained a few basic pieces of information.

A new section showcasing the holding’s companies, clearly explaining their specializations. Each card also includes a visible button linking to the company’s website.

The purpose of the new website is to direct visitors to the individual company websites based on the services they are looking for.

A nice-looking website doesn’t necessarily mean it’s functional.

The old section presenting the holding’s philosophy provided little useful information to users.

The new page presents the holding’s statistics along with a more detailed explanation of its philosophy and values.

The purpose of the holding page is to strengthen the company’s relationship with its customers.

This cannot be achieved with just a few sentences without any evidence or concrete information.

A Holding That Holds Together

We gradually completed the website, adding all content including contact information and the inquiry form.

We made the website fully responsive, not just for desktops and large screens, but also for tablets and smartphones.

Finally, we optimized the website for performance and accessibility, and adapted it for search engines.

The new website now:

Clearly explains what holding does

Provides visitors with useful information

Guides users to the holding’s company websites

New website performance statistics based on Google and GTmetrix
